The William J. “Red” Vickrey Resource Center is host to a number of activities. This beautiful facility is located in the heart of the Roger Scott Athletic Complex. Surrounded by Roger Scott Pool, Tennis Center and Sports Complex, this facility offers programs for the young and the young at heart.

Youth Programs 

Funtastic Summer Camp
Days: M-F May 25-August 9
Times: 7:00am-6:00pm
Ages: 5-14
Cost: $99 City Resident (per week) / $123 Non City Resident (per week)
Field trips, swimming, arts and crafts, games and sports are just a few of the activities campers will enjoy every week. Registration begins April 3, 2017.

Coastal Shotokan Karate

Day: Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays
Time: 6:00pm – 7:00pm
Ages: 8+
Cost: $40 per month City residents / $50 per month non-City residents
Authentic, traditional martial arts instruction. Emphasis is on developing a strong lower body and utilizing foot and hand techniques in about equal portions. Open to new students.

Galactic Child Yoga

Day: Thurs
Time: 5:30-6:30pm
Ages: 5 – 12 yrs
Cost: $35 per month City residents / $45 per month Non-City residents 
$10 daily drop-in City residents/ $15 daily drop-in Non-City residents 
Galactic Child Yoga classes focus on body awareness, breath, emotional intelligence, and essential connections.

Shaolin-Do Kung Fu

Get in shape for the beach! These classes specialize in strength training, flexibility, functional training, rehabilitative strength training, agility, endurance, and stamina.

Our weight room is open to the public during normal operating hours. 
Cost: $1 per day or $10 per month, Free for those over 50 years
Users ages 14-16 must be accompanied by an adult, no users under 14. 

Adult Enrichment

Easy Weed-Free No-Till Organic Gardening
Dates and Times vary
Ages: 18-up
Fee: $60 per 4 week session or $30 per single class. 
Four lesson basic organic gardening class. Advanced gardening and other homesteading classes including chicken keeping and bee keeping are also offered.
Join this group for some fun-filled afternoons. Get out of the house and learn a new game with some new friends.
