Warrantshave been issued for the man and woman believed to have been involved in thetheft of a woman’s purse from her vehicle on February 18 and who then wentshopping with the victim’s stolen credit card the next day.DerickLevell Jones, 30, no permanent address, is wanted for burglary, grand theft,fraudulent use of a credit card, and petit theft. Sheena Renise Outing, 30, nopermanent address, is wanted for fraudulent use of a credit card and dealing instolen property.DetectiveGilbert Galloway Jr. said the suspects were identified during the investigationof the initial theft, which occurred sometime between 4 and 5 p.m. February 18in the 200 block of South Florida Blanca Street. The male suspect initiallyapproached the victim and her husband as they were standing outside their homeand asked if he could stay at their house for a while because he didn’t haveanywhere to stay. The woman’s husband told the suspect they were unable toprovide any type of shelter. Thewoman told police she then walked to her vehicle, put her purse on the backseat, sat in the driver’s seat, and closed the door. She said the suspectopened the back door, grabbed her purse and ran. The victim chased the suspecton foot and saw him jump into the front passenger seat of an older modelsilver/gray sedan with dark tint. The car then fled the scene. Gallowaysaid the victim’s husband uses a walker and was unable to help chase thesuspect.OnFebruary 19, the suspects were seen on surveillance video in a local departmentstore where they purchased approximately $2,300 worth of merchandise using thevictim’s credit card, which had been inside her purse.Anyonehaving information on the location of either suspect is asked to contactDetective Gilbert Galloway at 435 - 1974, the Pensacola Police Department at435 – 1900 or Crime Stoppers at 433 – STOP.
