Police searching for strong-armed robbery suspect

Pensacola Police are asking for
help in identifying a man who hit a woman in the throat, stole her purse, pushedher out of a vehicle, and then fled the scene on Wednesday.

The incident occurred around 2
p.m. at the corner of P and Gadsden streets after the suspect drove the womanto a store and they both went inside. After returning to the vehicle, he
started to drive away, stopped, and pushed her out of the vehicle by strikingher in the throat. The female received minor injuries after she fell to the
ground and rolled several times.

The suspect is a black male,approximately 6 feet 1 and 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black shirt,
black pants and blue shoes. He was driving a gray or silver vehicle. The vehicle had a white temporary license tag with possibly the numberDWM316 or some variation thereof.

man’s location is asked to contact Detective Matt Mercado at 435 – 1986, thePensacola Police Department at 435 – 1900 or Crime Stoppers at 433 – STOP.
