Police searching for Jeep involved in hit and run crash

The Pensacola Police Department needs help in locating a vehicle that recently was involved in a hit and run crash.

The incident occurred around 9:50 p.m. February 14 near the parking lot at Circle K, 2020 W. Cervantes St.

Officer Tony Garza said the dark colored Jeep, possibly a Liberty model, struck a red Chevrolet Impala driven by Jennifer Lee Thornton, 31, of Pensacola. Thornton told police the Jeep pulled out of the parking lot onto Cervantes Street, exited through one stopped lane of westbound traffic and struck Thornton’s car, which was westbound on Cervantes Street

The Jeep, which should have substantial front-end damage, was last seen headed eastbound on Cervantes Street.

Anyone having information on the incident or the Jeep’s location is asked to contact Officer Tony Garza at 435 – 1946.
