Warrant issued for armed carjacking suspect

A warrant has been issued for a Pensacola man wanted in connection with an armed carjacking and several other felony charges.

David Lee Hicks, 28, wanted for robbery with a firearm, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, battery, driving with a suspended license, and leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage.

The incident occurred around 9:15 a.m. January 24 in the 1300 block of North J Street when a vehicle and cash were taken at gunpoint from a 31-year-old male. The vehicle was later found crashed and abandoned blocks away from the crime scene.

Hicks is a black male, 6 feet 1 inch tall and 250 pounds. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
